Eden Heigel got her first Border Collie/Mal-Shepherd mix named T-Lou from the SPCA in Los Angeles, CA. T-Lou and her found the sport of Agility in 1999 and started competing in USDAA and NADAC trials. In 2000 she got Bjorn, a purebred Border Collie then in 2002 Eden moved to the UK and France along with the K9 family to attend University. While in Europe, Eden trained with some of the top International Agility competitors at the time, including Greg Derrett and Christine Charpentier. Also during this time she was the Assistant to long time FCI president J.P.Petitdidier where she got to work and attend several FCI AWC’s. After a few years absent from the sport and relocating back to Los Angeles, Eden joined the Jump City Agility family as a trainer and competes with her Jack Russell Terrier Lorky, together they are working on their PACH and qualifying for Nationals. Lorky is also an accomplish Dock Diver placing 4th in Lap Dog Finals at the 2009 Splash Dogs Nationals at Cynosport®  

In 2010 Eden got Aston aka Tone from Croatia. Aston is a very talented fast, big and powerful border collie.  


In the summer of 2013 Eden and 3yr old Aston traveled to Europe and trained as well as competed in several countries including Austria, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia. At The Blue Danube Trophy in Korneuburg, Austria their first international competition the pair ended up 19th overall at the 4-day event, also winning 3rd and 4th
places in Agility (Standard) at the Julius Cup in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary.  

The pair trained with the best in the sport including Silvia Trkman, Krisztina Kabai, Tereza Kralova and Lisa Frick. Eden and Aston are honorary long distance members of the KOSSP Club in Zagreb, Croatia and train under the watchful eye of good friend, AWC coach and EO winner Alen Marekovic.  

After a break in 2015 due to an Eden's ACL tear, the pair came back in 2016 with a vengeance. Aston and Eden qualified to tryout for the French National Agility Team, they didn't make the team but they came in at 19th out of 85 of the top teams in France.

As a trainer Eden is familiar with many methods from basic clicker training to different handling techniques. Eden specializes in international handling techniques and course analyzation. 

"Every dog and handler are different, as a trainer I need to adapt to many different methods so I can find the best way to make that particular team the best that they can be"   

In 2016, three of Eden's students made the 2016 AKC Invitationals which honors the top 5 of each breed in Agility. Two of which are Shiba Inus. 

"Any breed can do agility!"  

Today Eden and Aston compete at the highest level in Agility. Eden also has a pup from Alen's kennel Mawlch Ural (Ral) who is about to start competing in Starters (Novice/A1) and Becks her 12lbs sheltie mix street rescue who is just finishing up his beginning training.
