Lisa took the plunge into the world of dog sports in 1992 after acquiring her first purebred dog, a Belgian Malinois named Alley. She started out in the sport of Schutzhund, however she quickly became hooked on agility, and began competing in 1993.
Alley's most notable accomplishments include: making the 24" finals at the 1997 AKC Agility Nationals, winning the 30" Timed Gamble class at the 1996 USDAA Nationals, wining High Scoring 24" Open Jumpers Dog at the 1995 NADAC Nationals, and #1 AKC rankings several years in a row. In addition to agility, she's earned several obedience titles, including one score that garnered a coveted high in trial. Alley qualified for Nationals, both AKC and USDAA every year she was competing. At the time of her retirement, Alley had earned 27 titles in a variety of organizations and disciplines.
Vapor began competing in 1998. Following in Alley's footsteps, Vapor was a dog of many disciplines. He earned his Breed Ring Championship (owner handled!), as well dabbling in the obedience ring. His agility career was quite illustrious although unfortunately he was retired prematurely due to a non-agility related injury. He won HIT at the agility trial at the Malinois Specialty on June 19th, 1999. Some of his other notable accomplishments include appearing in a Crufts Promo, placing 4th at the USDAA 2000 Grand Prix Regional in Portland OR, being a member of the 4th place DAM team at the WVDS 2000 DAM tournament, and being a member of the West LA Top Dog obedience team (and earning the highest score of the team).
Most recently Lisa has added Rush, a Border Collie, to the household. Not to be outdone by the others, Rush is also a dog of many venues. Lisa can now add herding to the list of dog sports she's been involved in over the
years. Rush has been competing for several years and most recently won the
Steeplechase 22" class at the 2005 USDAA World Cynosport® Games held
in Scottsdale, AZ, in November 2005.
